Our Philosophy
Our charity work is based on the Daoist concept of "Sang Saeng". Sang refers to the mutual complementarity and interconnection we share as humankind. Saeng literally translates to life and refers to how we give life to each other through mutual respect and relationships.
Understanding the dependent and interconnected nature of being is an essential aspect of Daoism. Cultivating this mindfulness leads to non-judgment and genuine compassion.
Sang Saeng is practiced under the two principles of Dao. The two principles of Dao are Haewon Sang Saeng and Boeun Sang Saeng. Haewon refers to the resolution of grudges and grievances. Boeun refers to returning of grace.
Through the resolution of grievances and returning the grace, we are able to live in Sang Saeng and peace.
